Welcome to the real estate recap of the year that was in the Torrance real estate market.  It was an amazing year for real estate and home sales in city of Torrance CA.   Below are the important numbers at a glance.

There were 1144 on market home sales during 2020 compared with 1204 in 2019.  The median sales price was an impressive $835,000.  Homes averaged a very brief 24 days on market and the average price per foot was only $533.  For more detailed month by month stats see our Torrance real estate market trends and statistics page.

1640 Beech – The Highest Sale of the Year in Old Torrance at $1,265,000

When you combine an almost complete remodel, large square footage and great sized lot….what do you get? The highest priced home sale of 2020 in Old Torrance. This was a stunning remodel offering 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, an open layout and approximately 2,640 square feet on an oversized 8,300+ foot lot at 1640 Beech.  The home was listed at $1,285,000 and sold for $1,265,000.

August Home Sales in Torrance

Take a look at the latest real estate update in Old Torrance and all of Torrance.

Real estate sale in Torrance CA had an impressive month in August with 122 on market home sales.  This was actually the highest number of sales in quite a while and set a several year record.  Not only was the volume impressive but the prices were as well.  The median “asking” price was $825,000 with the median “sold” price at $815,000.  This means that homes sold at almost full price most of the time indicating a real estate market that was very favorable to the home sellers. The average price per square foot was $555 and the median days on market of only 9….which was fairly unbelievable.
